Wrenegade Sports presents: The Rensselaerville Cycling Festival, featuring: The Team Jamis - Hagens Berman Gran Fondo, a challenging and scenic bicycle ride through historic communities in the Helderberg Hilltowns and the Catskill Mountains of Upstate New York; and a festival at the Carey Institute for Global Good. September 28, 2014. Saturday September 27

  • 11 a.m. "Bicycles" Children's Story Time at the Rensselaerville Library on Rensselaerville Main Street
  • 4 to 9 p.m. Packet Pickup and a cash bar at the Carriage House Restaurant at the Carey Institute for Global Good
  • 4 to 8 p.m. Windham Mountain Outfitters Bicycle Tune-Up Station at the Carey Institute for Global Good
  • 5 p.m. Bicycle Skills Clinics (advanced and beginner) on the upper meadow at the Carey Institute for Global Good
  • 5 to 9:30 p.m. Special dinner and live music from the Red-Haired Strangers at the Palmer House Cafe on Rensselaerville Main Street
  • 5 to 7 p.m. Gallery opening reception for artist Brian Higbee at the Way Out Gallery on Rensselaerville Main Street

Sunday September 28

All activities on-site at the Carey Institute for Global Good

  • 6 to 9 a.m. Honest Weight Food Co-op Fuel Up Station open (with free coffee and morning fare for all Fondo riders and volunteers)
  • 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Packet Pickup at the Carriage House
  • 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Bicycle Tune-Up Station sponsored by Mad Dog Bicycles
  • 8:55 a.m. National Anthem sung by Rensselaerville songbird Emileigh Tanner
  • 9 a.m. Team Jamis - Hagens Berman Gran Fondo Rides depart (Gran, Medio & Piccolo)
  • 10 a.m. Festival Ride departs
  • 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Kids' Bicycle Rodeo & Corral open
  • 10:15 a.m. Guided hike of the Huyck Preserve
  • 11:30 a.m. Talk by Kelly Martin from the New York State Wildlife Rehabilitation Council with live animals
  • 12 to 6:30 p.m. Barbecue, Festival Market and Ride With GPS Upload Station open
  • 12 to 3 p.m. Live music from Black Mountain Symphony
  • 12:30 p.m. Kids' Mini-Fondo Ride departs
  • 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Free kids' face painting by local artist Premo Designs
  • 3 p.m. Helderberg Brewery tour
  • 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Live music from the Lustre Kings
  • 6:30 p.m. Volunteer Competition Award Ceremony
  • 7 p.m. Goodbye and see you next year!
